Description of Job Duties: The position is for an embedded firmware engineer to collaborate directly with a cross-functional teams to develop firmware for embedded avionics flight applications, as well as ground support flight electronic hardware for test. Must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog, TCL, and C Languages. Must have strong expertise and recent design work using Xillinx chips and lootsets. Particularly experience with Artix 7 and Zynq 7000 or Ultrascale for video application is desired. Strong experience in digital design and testing, parts selection and derailing, as well as military standards. Will work in a team environment as well as independently to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision, work on multiple tasks in parallel. Position may require additional hours to meet project schedules. Responsibilities include requirements development and validation, SPICE simulations, hardware design, board layout support, and lab testing and integration oversight. A working knowledge of mentor suites like DxDesigner, PADS Standard Plus, PADS PRD, configuration management methods, and Firmware Development applications such as Vivedo is required. An understanding of signal integrity as well as a good mechanical and environmental aptitude is desired. Prior knowledge of IPC standards, digital, mixed signal, and RF electronics printed circuit board design a plus. A valid/clear driver’s license is required. Must be a US citizen due to ITAR restrictions on Work.
